About Us

The Vedology journey began a few years back on a trip to India. I was astonished at the level of poverty that many face despite so organisations being available. I am a regular traveller to India and seeing the troubles that people go through on a day-to-day basis is always difficult to digest. I was lucky enough to grow up with a loving family, plenty of books to read, safe education and access to free school meals. Many people and parts in India are stuck in a very unfortunate cycle and have little hope for a way out. I visited many kids who didn't know where or how their next meal would come from, not able to get safe drinking water, have terrible conditions conditions to love in (if they're lucky enough to have shelter) and almost no way of gaining an education.

People like me (and I'm sure there are a lot of people like me) have taken basic luxuries for granted. We don't have to beg for or steal food. All we have to do is turn on our kitchen taps to have safe drinking water. We are lucky enough to have a roof over our heads to shelter to keep us safe. Finally, we've all been able to go to school for free and receive a world class education helping us to succeed and build a better life for ourselves.

At that moment it dawned on me that I want to make a difference and start to help these kids out of poverty and help to build a better life for themselves. I started thinking about a way to help these people. At that moment in time, I was learning about and exploring the spiritual side of life through studying the Vedas. I was beginning to gain the benefits of yoga, meditation and ayurvedic medicine and the resulting increase in health, happiness and peace.

That was the moment I decided to start Vedology. I want to spread the knowledge and teachings which have improved my life whilst also finding a way to help some of these disadvantaged kids in India.
